Third Year

This course provides the fundamentals of information security, computer security principles, incident prevention and management. It also covers risk and compensating security technologies by considering the requirements of cyber and information system security. The students will have a deeper understanding of information security & assurance, data privacy, risk management.

This course extends the topics of the Information Management (DBMS1) course and introduces new knowledge like data mining and data warehousing. It explores advanced database and associated technologies, the management of database systems, the data modelling options, facilitating the storage and use of data.
